Before you book
Please soften the wax in the 5-7 days before your appointment.
It's important that the wax is soft to make the procedure as comfortable and effective as possible. We recommend using oil based ear drops or spray at least twice a day in the affected ear and repeat for 5 days.
Appointments
It may take more than one appointment to remove the wax.
Each follow up appointment is charged at £30 until the initial wax blockage is clear.

Cancellations
I require 48 hour notice to cancel an appointment.

Any cancellations outside of this time slot will incur a £10 charge.
I cover all of Derby and most of the Derbyshire suburbs.

What is Microsuction?
Microsuction is the process of removing wax from your ears by using a small suction tube and probe to gently remove any excess wax in the ear.
How it works
During microsuction, we use a small suction tube and probe to gently remove excess wax from the ear canal.
Is it painful?
Microsuction is now the gold standard recommended treatment for ear wax removal, it is safe and effective.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF:
- you suffer with any condition that affects your ability to sit still and keep your head still for a period of time,
- you suffer with tinnitus
- you suffer with dizziness/vertigo
- you have had ear surgery in the past 12 months
- you are experiencing any pain in your ears
